About the department : 

The department of electrical engineering is one of the eight departments in the Institute of Engineering and Technology and offers degrees at the Bachelor, Master and PhD level. It was established in 1984 and is recognised by AICTE, New Delhi. The department is one of the largest and oldest departments in the Institute, and has a well qualified faculty, all holding degrees from renowned institute in India. The Department of Electrical Engineering is committed to grow further as a socially responsible and research oriented centre of learning.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

PEO1: Design and develop novel products and services in the field of electrical engineering.

PEO2: Apply the knowledge of electrical engineering to solve problems of social relevance, pursue higher education and research.

PEO3: Work efficiently as individuals and as team members in multidisciplinary projects.

PEO4: Engage in lifelong learning, career augmentation and adopt to changing specialized and societal needs. 

Program Specific Outcomes(PSOs)

At the end of the program the student will be able to:

PSO1 : Apply the knowledge of Electrical Engineering in innovative, dynamic and challenging environment for upcoming Smart Grid as well as conventional system.

PSO2 :  Design Electrical Systems or its components by utilizing the scientific theories, ideas, methodologies, computer aided techniques, and new cutting-edge technologies for future energy problems.
