In a commitment to foster safe and inclusive environment, Institute of Engineering and Technology Lucknow’s Sarojini Girls Hostel organised a series of activities aimed at addressing and preventing Sexual Harassment . This initiative reflects the college's dedication in creating a community where all the students feel secure and respected. To engage students actively,various activities were held surrounding different aspect of this issue.Over 20 enthusiastic students participated in the event.The events kicked off with Rangoli Making competition, where students represented various forms of sexual harassment, its impact on victims and legal aspects through their art form. Ayushi Pandey, Shreya Ghosh, Anita and Ritika emerged as winners while Mahima Verma, Archita Gupta, Riya Mishra and Priya Sahoo secured second position and Anjali Rao, Sameeksha, Anjana and Ekta Maurya secured third position. Deeksha Verma, Niharika and Aanya showcased their talent in a singing competition with some powerful and sensational songs with their ethereal voice. Devanandini and Mahima Verma highlighted the deteriorating status of women and the condition of victims through their poems and called for awareness in society. Mrs. Pragati Shukla, Warden of Sarojini Bhawan, delivered an encouraging message to all the participants, wishing them the best. She also emphasised all the girls to stand up for themselves as sexual harassment is a very sensitive case that could happen anywhere, anytime and to anyone. The event received valuable support from Ms.Rinki and assistance from the managing committee of students.
