Dr. Naveen Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Institute of Engineering & Technology (I.E.T.) Lucknow, an autonomous constituent institute of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, India. He is a dedicated and results-driven Mechanical Engineering professional with extensive experience in academia and research, focusing on Advanced Manufacturing Technologies, Additive Manufacturing, Welding Technologies and Automation, Joining Technologies for Electric Vehicles, Material Characterization, and Erosive Wear. He has a robust academic background, including M.Tech. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Roorkee. He also served as an Institute Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Delhi. Before joining IET Lucknow, he was working as an Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) at University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Dr. Kumar possesses a demonstrated ability to lead research projects, deliver impactful teaching, and contribute to technological advancements for societal betterment.
Dr. Naveen has published more than 15 research articles in top-quality (SCI/SCIE) international journals, 04 book chapters, and presented 09 papers at conferences of repute in India and abroad. Furthermore, he actively serves as an editor for Scientific Reports and a reviewer for various reputable, peer-reviewed national and international research journals.
He has delivered several invited talks at institutes of repute such as IIT Delhi, the AIMTDR-2023 conference at IIT (BHU) Varanasi, The Indian Institute of Welding (IIW), Chennai Branch, etc.
