This involves field work, exploration of subsoil by Auguring in IET campus near Main gate, conducting Standard Penetration Test as per IS 2131-1981, collection of Undisturbed sample (UDS) and Disturbed soil samples (DS), recording water table, followed by Lab Testing. And to calculate load capacity based on these results. Finally casting of actual Pile for Load Test on it as per IS:29911 (Part-IV)-2013.
This study and field testing is being carried out for First Time by Final Year students under guidance of Prof. M.Z. Khan. The results can be used for foundation design of buildings to be constructed in future.
