Prof. Arun Kumar Tiwari is a distinguished academician currently serving as a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Institute of Engineering & Technology (I.E.T.) Lucknow, an autonomous constituent institute of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, India. He has dedicated over 20+ years to research, teaching, and administration, contributing significantly to technical education, curriculum development, and institutional advancement. He currently serves as Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, and Dean, Resource Generation & Alumni Relations at AKTU, Lucknow, Professor In-charge Training & Placement at the IET, Lucknow where he has played a pivotal role in research innovation and industry engagement. His impactful leadership includes prior roles such as Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department at IET (2019–2022), Co-convenor of the BOS, and UPCET-AKTU Admission Coordinator (2021–2023) overseeing centralized admissions for over 750 affiliated colleges. Prof. Tiwari has been listed in the Top 2% Scientists in the World by Stanford University and Elsevier in for five consecutive years (2021–2025), with over 150 research publications, 25+ book chapters, an h-index of 50, i10-index of 99, and 9100+ citations. He has edited the book “Nano-Refrigerants and Nano-Lubricants: Fundamentals and Applications”, and his work has been featured in leading journals like Progress in Energy and Combustion Science (IF: 32.0) and Physics Reports (IF: 23.9), with more than 30 papers receiving over 100 citations each. Prof. Tiwari has supervised 11 Ph.D. scholars, guided 16 M. Tech dissertations, and holds three International Patents. He has development a Centre of Excellence for Green Hydrogen, and Electric Vehicle with Battery Testing Facility along with establishment of Renewable Energy Lab, promoting clean energy education aligned with Net Zero Goals. His ongoing government-funded project, titled “Artificial Intelligence-Based Solar Drying Solution Enhanced with Nanofluid and Thermal Energy Storage Integration for Agricultural and Food Products” (2024–2027), by CST, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, reflects his commitment to practical, SDG-aligned research. He has also contributed significantly to digital learning, delivering e-content on Fluid Mechanics for SWAYAM Prabha, leading AICTE-ATAL FDPs, and serves as the criteria chair for NAAC Criterion 5. In recognition of his exceptional service, he received the “AKTU Best Teacher Award” (2020) and the prestigious “Academic Excellence Award, 2025” by the Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Smt. Anandiben Patel Ji. His leadership during AKTU’s NAAC accreditation also earned formal commendation, and one of his Ph.D. scholars was awarded the Best Ph.D. Thesis Award (2018–2024) at Raj Bhawan, reflecting his unwavering dedication to academic excellence, student mentorship, and impactful innovation in Mechanical Engineering.
